Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Technician II to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a non-climate controlled shop. You will perform preventive maintenance, component replacements and basic diagnostics under limited supervision, maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications include a Diesel Technology Associate degree and 3+ years of experience with Class 7 & 8 trucks, plus a willingness to work with 53’ trailers. Tools provided by the employee are expected.

Qualifications

• Diesel technology degree required or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with heavy trucks (Class 7 & 8).
• Experience repairing 53’ trailers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction(s).
• Provide customers with preventative maintenance solutions when appropriate.
• Maintain 80% productivity and prevent comebacks.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric and brake accessories).
• Troubleshoot and repair suspension, electrical, exhaust, steering, and A/C systems.
