Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Technician II to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose vehicle systems, and handle basic to advanced repairs with limited supervision. The role requires experience on heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks and related trailers, with emphasis on brake, electrical, suspension, and drivetrain systems.

A shop environment and tool ownership are expected. The ideal candidate will have a Diesel Technology degree or equivalent, 3+ years of hands-on experience with heavy trucks, and

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction
• Provide customers with preventative maintenance solutions
• Maintain 80% productivity and prevent comebacks
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles/equipment
• Repair, reline, replace brakes and adjust brake systems
• Test drive vehicles and components with proper equipment
• Troubleshoot suspension, electrical, exhaust and steering systems
• Adjust/remove/replace clutches and driveline components
• Troubleshoot fuel tanks, fifth wheels, and frames
• Perform basic welding and fabrication
• Maintain clean workspace

Responsibilities
