Job summary

FleetPride is the nation’s largest distributor of heavy-duty parts and service, with a role for a Mobile Technician II to perform advanced maintenance, diagnostics, and component replacements. The technician will work in the shop between service calls and may participate in after-hours on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Diesel cert/degree is a plus.
• 3+ years repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers.
• Welding (Air Brake) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction(s).
• Provide customers with preventative maintenance solution, whenever appropriate.
• Maintain 80% productivity and prevent comebacks.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and filter replacements.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric and brake accessories).
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose system failures.
• Troubleshoot suspension, electrical, exhaust, and steering systems.
