Penske Truck Leasing in Salt Lake City is seeking a Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and repairs across a range of equipment. You will diagnose problems, log repairs, and mentor newer technicians while growing your skills with supervisor guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to solve problems and provide excellent customer service
• Ability to work well in a team and follow safety policies

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety and reliability
• Perform preventive maintenance with little supervision
• Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, transmissions and differentials
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Log and research repairs using Penske tools and technology
• Learn Penske’s technician training programs
• Assist with other projects as assigned by supervisor
