Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co. is seeking an experienced Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and major/minor repairs across a diverse fleet. You’ll work independently, mentor others, and advance your skills through Penske’s training programs.

We offer competitive pay of $30.75/hour, shift premiums, strong safety focus, and extensive benefits. The role requires DOT compliance, travel as needed within the district, and a commitment to safety and quality in every job.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical vehicle maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions).
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to comply with safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles and ensure they are safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with little supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials and related components.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools to log and complete repairs and perform basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
