Penske is seeking an experienced Technician II in Chesapeake, VA. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles, working independently on major and minor repairs, and conducting road tests to diagnose problems.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE/608/609 certifications preferred.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license required; ability to solve problems; excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to work well as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little supervision in a timely manner.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training; work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
