Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an entry‑level Diesel Technician/Mechanic III. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet, using Penske tools and diagnostic techniques to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

You will learn Penske’s maintenance processes through hands‑on coaching and industry‑leading training, with opportunities for career growth, strong pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
Willingness to learn Penske maintenance processes and comply with safety policies

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on Penske fleet vehicles
Use Penske tools and diagnostic techniques to log, research and complete repairs
Assist with vehicle component lubrication, basic electrical and cooling system maintenance
