Job summary

Penske in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Technician II to perform preventive maintenance, major and minor repairs, and road tests on the latest fleet. You will diagnose issues, log repairs, and mentor newer technicians.

You will work independently, use Penske tools, and participate in ongoing training through Penske’s technician certification program. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and customer service, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Safety and DOT/OSHA compliance knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Performing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision.
• Repairing and troubleshooting engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems, etc.
• Keeping work area clean and safe.
• Using Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Learning Penske’s technician training to grow skills.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
