Penske in Concord, NC is seeking a Technician II to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will work independently on major and minor repairs, run road tests, and mentor newer technicians.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training, ASE Certification preferred.
• Experienced using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to work in a team and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, and fuel systems.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Take on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
