Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Dayton, OH is seeking a skilled Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

You will work with Penske's tools and training programs to diagnose issues, perform tire rotations, lubrication, and engine cooling system maintenance, and collaborate with supervisors to learn new skills. Prior auto/diesel repair experience and a valid driver's license are preferred, with growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service & communication skills.
• Teamwork and ability to work outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must understand/comply with Penske safety policies (DOT/OSHA).
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
• DOT/drug screening and travel requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools/tech to log, research and complete repairs; basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance (tires, lubrication, cooling) on gas/diesel engines.
• Collaborate with manager to learn new skills via Penske training.
• Contribute to other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
