Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Springfield, OH is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will use Penske’s tools to log, diagnose, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You can come with a mechanical aptitude or vehicle repair training, and learn through hands‑on coaching and Penske’s Technician Certification Program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1-2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass drug screen and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication, some electrical and cooling system work.
• Learn new skills via technician training and coaching.
• Take on other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
