Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Piqua, OH is seeking a skilled Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will log work, use Penske tools, and learn through hands-on coaching from experienced supervisors and master technicians.

This role offers stable hours, training, and growth opportunities. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license required.
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The associate must understand and comply with Penske policies including safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and ensuring vehicles are safe for customers.
• Using Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance repairs such as tire rotation and lubrication; some electrical and cooling system work on gas/diesel engines.
• Partnering with the manager to learn new skills through Penske's technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
