Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co. in Odessa, TX is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will log and complete repairs using Penske tools, with opportunities to learn through our technician training program.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and growth potential with competitive pay and benefits. Prior mechanical experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred, and DOT safety policies apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license.
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs such as replacing or rotating tires, lubrication and parts replacement on gas and diesel engines.
• Collaborate with the manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Take on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
