Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician at our Midland, TX location. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, using Penske tools and diagnostics. You’ll learn Penske’s maintenance processes under the guidance of experienced supervisors, with strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use tools effectively.
• Commitment to safety policies and DOT/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technologies, including basic diagnostics.
• Conduct preventive maintenance such as tire rotation, lubrication, and component replacement on gas and diesel engines.
• Collaborate with managers and senior technicians for training and skill development.
• Handle additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
