Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You'll learn Penske''s maintenance processes and use cutting-edge tech while growing your career in a stable, well‑structured environment.

The role offers training, safety-focused culture, and opportunities for advancement, with a schedule that supports work–life balance. High school diploma and repair experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
  • Valid driver''s license.
  • The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
  • Use Penske''s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
  • Perform preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires—and lubricate/replace components, some electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
  • Partner with manager to learn new skills using Penske''s technician training and hands-on coaching.
  • Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
