Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in top condition. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely repairs. You’ll read precision instruments, use diagnostic tools, and weld as needed while following DOT and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Own tools to perform job duties.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measurement instruments.
• Willingness to undergo training and perform DOT/OSHA-compliant work.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of company equipment as required.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other breakdowns on trucks, trailers or dollies.
• Read precision instruments and use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot failures.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems.
• Weld horizontally and vertically as needed; work on converter dollies where applicable.
• Comply with DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.
