Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B in Selbyville, DE to diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline refuse trucks and equipment. Under supervision, you will service chassis, hydraulics, brakes, HVAC, and control systems on our modern fleet and help keep drivers on the road.

You will gain hands-on training with new technologies, work a stable shift, and grow within a safety-focused organization that values community impact and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and apply repair techniques.
• Familiarity with light to heavy-duty truck systems and diagnostics.
• Upcoming or recent completion of automotive training programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on diesel and gasoline equipment.
• Repair chassis, refuse bodies, braking and hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Conduct light engine, suspension, drive train, and HVAC work.
• Provide safe road service when needed to return equipment to operation.
• Utilize electronic tools to identify malfunctions and complete training programs.

Skills

Diagnostic multi-system issues

Work order time standards

Maintenance on trucks (Class 1-8)

ASE certifications (T1-T8) a plus

CDL is a plus

3-5 years technician experience

Valid driver’s license

Education

Graduate from accredited automotive college/technical school within 3 months
