Job summary

Republic Services in Ellendale, Delaware is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking and HVAC systems. You will diagnose multi-system issues, perform preventative maintenance, and provide on-road service as needed, supporting our fleet and drivers.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues with technical proficiency.
• Knowledge of maintenance on Class 1-5 and 7-8 trucks; gasoline and diesel.
• ASE certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• 3-5 years of technician experience or recent graduation from auto tech program.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic and electrical systems; air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Light engine repair and maintenance.
• Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
• Heating and air conditioning.
• Road service when necessary to return equipment to operation safely.
