Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers in Duluth, GA is seeking an experienced Diesel Engine Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks in our Engine Shop. You will mentor apprentices, lead projects when needed, and collaborate with Parts and Service teams to keep repairs on schedule.

The role requires hands-on diagnostic skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to document findings clearly.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• Cummins Engine Repair Certification required.
• Master Technician certifications preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Accurately document repairs and diagnostic findings.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team when needed.
