Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician for our Duluth, GA Engine Shop. You will diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks while mentoring teammates and leading projects as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of diesel diagnostic experience (10+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (CDL is a plus).
• Cummins Engine Repair Certification (Required).
• Master Technician certifications in multiple areas preferred.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with dealership management and diagnostic software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform complete engine and transmission rebuilds.
• Complete preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
• Accurately document repairs and diagnostic findings.
• Communicate with Parts and Service teams to ensure repairs stay on schedule.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and help lead the team when needed.
