Job summary

Carvana is hiring a Diesel Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance team. You will service Class 8 trucks and trailers, perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics to keep the fleet running safely and efficiently.

You’ll work with diagnostics software, handle aftertreatment systems, and advance professionally through ASE certifications and on-the-job training. Competitive pay, benefits, and tool/boot allowances accompany this role.

Qualifications

6+ months of experience with Heavy-Duty Class 8 trucks and trailers.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diesel engines, transmissions, and vehicle systems.
Experience with aftertreatment systems and electrical diagnostics.
Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
Two ASE Certifications within 6 months (reimbursed).

Responsibilities

Routine maintenance and repair: preventative maintenance, inspections, and component replacements.
Diagnostics: use tools and software to troubleshoot electrical, engine, and transmission problems.
System repairs: address aftertreatment systems (DEF/emissions), perform regens, and change filters.
Collaborate & optimize: maintain records, optimize vehicle performance, minimize downtime.
Safety first: follow safety protocols and DOT compliance.
