Job summary

Carvana seeks a skilled Diesel Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance team. You’ll support a Class 8 fleet, performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep vehicles uptime high.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience with Heavy-Duty Class 8 trucks and trailers
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diesel engines and transmissions
Experience with aftertreatment systems and electrical diagnostics
Comfortable with MIG welding (a plus)
Two ASE Certifications within the first 6 months (reimbursed)
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on our fleet
Diagnostics using tools and software to troubleshoot electrical, engine, and transmission problems
Address issues with aftertreatment systems (DEF/emissions), perform regens, and change filters
Collaborate with team to maintain accurate records, optimize vehicle performance, and minimize downtime
Adhere to safety protocols and DOT compliance
