Job summary

Carvana is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance team in New Jersey. You will service Class 8 trucks and trailers, perform inspections, and diagnose complex electrical and engine issues to maximize uptime.

You will work a 2:00pm–11:00pm shift, with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package. This role requires ASE certifications and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Heavy-Duty Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diesel engines and vehicle systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and using a laptop for manuals.
• Experience with aftertreatment systems and electrical diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet assets.
• Troubleshoot electrical, engine, and transmission problems using diagnostics.
• Address aftertreatment systems and perform regenerations and filter changes.
• Maintain accurate records and optimize vehicle performance to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols and DOT requirements.
