Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our Fleet Maintenance team. You’ll service a Class 8 fleet, focusing on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and system repairs to keep vehicles up and running.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and continuous improvement, with competitive pay, PTO, 401k matching, and training opportunities. Training includes DTNA ARC Certification and remote resources.,

Qualifications

3+ years of experience with Heavy-Duty Class 8 trucks and trailers or similar equipment
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for diesel engines, transmissions and vehicle systems
Proficiency with diagnostic software and using a laptop for manuals
Experience with aftertreatment systems and electrical diagnostics
MIG welding is a plus
Two ASE Certifications within first 6 months (reimbursed)

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on the fleet
Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex electrical, engine, and transmission problems
Address issues with aftertreatment systems (DEF/emissions), perform regens and change filters
Maintain accurate records, collaborate with team to optimize vehicle performance and minimize downtime
Adhere to safety protocols and DOT compliance
