Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Diesel Technician to support our Fleet Maintenance team with Class 8 trucks and trailers. The role focuses on uptime, diagnostics, and routine maintenance in a day-to-day on-site setting in Jurupa Valley, CA.

The job requires 3+ years' experience, ASE certifications, and strong skills in diesel diagnostics, aftertreatment systems, and electrical work. Competitive pay, tool/boot allowances, and tuition/loan support accompany a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Heavy-Duty Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Proficient in diesel engine, transmission, and vehicle systems diagnostics.
• Experience with aftertreatment systems and electrical diagnostics.
• Welding: MIG welding is a plus.
• Two ASE Certifications within the first 6 months (reimbursed).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and component replacements on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, engine, and transmission issues.
• Address aftertreatment systems (DEF/emissions) and perform regens.
• Maintain records and collaborate with team to minimize downtime.
• Follow safety protocols and DOT compliance.
