Job summary
Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, and hydraulic/electrical systems. You will handle light engine work, HVAC, suspension, and braking systems while supporting drivers on routes.
You will follow safety practices, complete company trainings, and contribute to continuous equipment reliability in a leading environmental services fleet.
Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
- 3-5 years of experience in a technician role with gasoline and diesel systems.
- Valid Driver’s License preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintains knowledge and performs preventive and repair maintenance on vehicle components and systems.
- Chassis component repair and maintenance.
- Repair and service of refuse bodies, including hydraulic/electrical systems; air/brake systems.
- Light engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, and steering work.
- Repair HVAC components and perform welding/fabrication as needed.
- Provide on-site road service to return equipment to operation safely.
