Job summary

Republic Services in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. You will work under supervision to service and repair vehicles, keeping a single fleet with state-of-the-art equipment and supporting drivers on their routes.

The role emphasizes learning, adhering to SOPs, and growing through provided training and career paths.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
• ASE Certification T8 PM is a plus but not required.
• 1–3 years of experience.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot faults.
• Valid Driver’s License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains basic knowledge of a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems for preventive maintenance and light repairs.
• Performs vehicle inspections, oil changes, fluids replenishment, and basic electrical work.
• Conducts visual inspections to identify issues and root causes.
• Completes applicable Company training programs and performs other duties as assigned.
