Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and HVAC components. You will diagnose problems, perform preventative maintenance, and provide on-road service to keep the fleet running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Able to diagnose multi-system issues across heavy equipment.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience or training in maintenance on Class 1–8 equipment or graduates from automotive/technical school.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components and refuse bodies.
• Repair hydraulic, electrical, and air-brake systems.
• Perform light engine work, suspension, drivetrain and HVAC maintenance.
• Provide on-site and road service to ensure equipment is returned to operation.
• Utilize electronic tools to identify malfunctions and complete training programs.
