Job summary
Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, and HVAC components. You will diagnose issues and perform preventative maintenance on a single fleet of advanced vehicles.
Under supervision from a Lead Technician, you gain hands-on training, work a stable shift, and contribute to reliable services for drivers and the community.
Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose multi-system issues with technical expertise.
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
- Experience with maintenance on trucks or graduation from automotive college/technical school within the next 3 months.
- ASE Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
- Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and air/hydraulic braking systems.
- Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication; provide safe road service when needed.
- Maintain and repair light engines, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and related systems.
- Adhere to company training programs and safety standards.
