Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a mid-level Diesel Technician in Springfield, MA to perform maintenance and repair on heavy-duty vehicles. This role offers a stable schedule, weekly pay, and strong benefits.

You will work 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with weekends off, and participate in a robust bonus program for certifications and performance. Eligible applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, CDL Class A (preferred), and 2+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/Technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Experience repairing automotive diesel engines.
• Two years or more of related training/experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostics when applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Follows safety and DOT guidelines and supports operations.
