Job summary

GFL Environmental, Inc is seeking a skilled diesel truck mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company-owned heavy‑duty trucks and equipment to ensure operations run safely.

Starting pay is $25-$31 per hour with additional pay based on experience and certifications; shift is 2pm-12am, with overtime after 40 hours. Benefits and advancement opportunities may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Willingness to work OT after 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and diagnose issues on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, brakes, suspension, PTO systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues to keep refuse trucks operating safely.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep fleet ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $25-$31/hr

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Starting Shift: 2pm-12am M-F. OT after 40hrs worked!

• -Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
