Job summary

GFL is seeking an experienced diesel truck technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain Company owned or leased heavy‑duty diesel trucks and equipment in Tallassee, AL. Starting pay up to $29/hr with increases based on experience and qualifications.

This role requires daily inspections, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs on refuse trucks and hydraulic/electrical systems. Overtime after 40 hours and comprehensive benefits follow after probation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
