Job summary

GFL Environmental, Inc is seeking a heavy-duty diesel truck technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company-owned or leased trucks and equipment. You will diagnose issues and perform repairs on diesel refuse trucks, focusing on safety and reliability.

Starting pay ranges from $25 to $32 per hour with a $5K sign-on bonus paid in three installments. The shift runs 2pm–12:30am, Monday through Friday, with overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair diesel refuse trucks and related equipment.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs for hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ensure brakes, suspension, PTOs, and components function safely.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and readiness checks for daily operations.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $25 to $32 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

$5K Sign On Bonus-paid out in 3 installments.

Shift: 2pm-1230am M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
