Job summary

GFL Environmental, Inc. in Missouri is seeking a Diesel Truck Technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment to ensure reliable daily operations.

Starting pay ranges from $29 to $35 per hour, with additional pay based on experience, certifications, and skill level. The role runs 3pm–11:30pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime after 40 hours and benefits after a probationary period.

Qualifications

• Experience working on heavy-duty diesel trucks or refuse trucks.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep refuse trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $29-$35/hr

More pay available based on EXP, CERTS and SKILL LEVEL.

Shift: 3pm-1130pm M-F. (Entry Level Exp Fine)

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.
