Job summary

GFL is seeking a diesel mechanic in Waunakee, Wisconsin to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company-owned trucks and equipment. Starting pay is $28-$30 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours and a 12pm-10pm shift, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, diagnosing issues, repairing hydraulic and air brake systems, and ensuring fleet readiness. Benefits include 15 days PTO, quarterly tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel trucks and hydraulic/air brake systems.
• Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs on heavy-duty equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
