Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, and air brakes. You will handle engine work, HVAC, suspension, and drivetrain on a dedicated fleet, with on‑the‑road service as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a technician position with knowledge of gasoline and diesel systems.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience diagnosing multi-system issues and performing preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge and proficiency across vehicle components and systems, both on-site and on the road.
• Repair and maintain chassis components and refuse bodies, including hydraulic/electrical systems and air/brake systems.
• Perform light engine repair and maintenance.
• Service suspension, drivetrain and steering systems.
• Repair heating and air conditioning.
• Welding and fabrication activities as needed.
• Provide road service to return equipment to operation safely and efficiently.
• Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools and complete required training.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
