Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and preventive maintenance on diesel and gasoline trucks and equipment across our fleet.

Under supervision of a Lead Technician or Maintenance Manager, you will service chassis, refuse bodies, braking systems, HVAC, suspension, drive train and more on-site and on the road. The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, safety, and timely road service when needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a technician role with knowledge of gasoline and diesel-powered equipment
• ASE Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required
• Valid Driver’s License is required

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair chassis components, refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic and electrical systems; and air/hydraulic braking systems
• Perform light engine, suspension, drivetrain and steering maintenance; HVAC work
• Provide on-site road service when needed and use electronic diagnostic tools
• Complete required training and adhere to safety and company policies
