Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment. You will ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations and maintain thorough work order documentation.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and sometimes road calls. Must possess a high school diploma and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Required Experience: 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Complete and perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment components and inspections.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to roadworthiness.
• Document repairs and maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and related parts for proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and use of tools and equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
