Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management, part of Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A in Sacramento to repair tractors, trailers, and light-duty vans. You will document work orders in our Enterprise Asset Management system and ensure DOT compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years’ related experience, own tools, a valid CDL preferred, and the ability to lift heavy weights. Benefits include union coverage, retirement plans, and health options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record per DOT regulations to operate company vehicles.
• CDL (License A) highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights over 50 pounds, occasionally over 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Document repairs and preventative maintenance in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems using diagnostic technology/software.
• Complete detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, Reyes Fleet Management standards, and safety programs.
• Possess a current driver qualification file; may require DOT drug screening and MVR checks.
• Some travel may be required.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

Job description

Reyes Fleet Management, 1 of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to help with the repairs and maintenance of our tractor and trailer equipment at our Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling shop in Sacramento.

You will also be working on our light duty vans (Ford and Chevy).

Shift: Full-Timel Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 9:30pm

Pay: $41.27/hr plus shift differential

Position Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3 plus years of related experience
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
