Reyes Fleet Management in San Jose is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to repair and maintain tractor and trailer equipment at our Reyes Coca Cola Bottling shop. The shift is full-time, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with hourly pay of $46.00–$51.00 depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing fleet equipment; documenting work orders; using diagnostic software; and complying with DOT, OSHA, and company

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related experience.
• Own tools required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record per DOT regulations.
• CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.

Responsabilités

• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems using diagnostic technology/software when applicable.
• Perform detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Follow DOT, OSHA and Reyes Fleet Management safety policies and use of PPE and tools properly.
• May require driving Reyes vehicles; maintain current driver qualification file per role; CDL holders may require DOT drug screening.

Position Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review
• Some travel may be required
• Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3 plus years of related experience
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
