Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in Redding, CA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to repair and maintain tractor and trailer equipment at our Reyes Coca Cola Bottling shop. The ideal candidate may work one Sunday per month at our Eureka location, with Fridays off during those weeks. Shift: Full-Time 7:00AM-3:30PM, Monday-Friday.

Pay: $37.00-$39.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include PTO, holidays, ASE and CDL incentives, retirement, Health/Dental/Vision,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR per DOT regulations to operate company vehicles.
• CDL (License A) highly desired; mandatory in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders and preventive maintenance in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems using diagnostic tools when applicable.
• Perform complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA and Reyes Fleet Management safety standards and use of PPE and tools.
• Travel may be required; may drive Reyes vehicles; DOT drug screen and MVR checks.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review
• Some travel may be required

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3 plus years of related experience
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
