Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in Redding, CA is hiring a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to repair and maintain tractor and trailer equipment at our Reyes Coca Cola Bottling shop. The role requires a valid CDL when required, a clean driving record, and the ability to work a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule with occasional travel.

The position offers competitive pay ($37.00–$39.00/hr) with benefits including PTO, holiday pay, ASE/ CDL incentives, 401K, health/dental/vision, and career advancement

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools and valid driver’s license with a good MVR.
• CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Ability to lift heavy weights regularly and work with DOT/OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Document work orders and preventive maintenance in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic software as applicable.
• Perform detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to all safety policies and DOT/OSHA regulations; use PPE and maintain safety practices.
• Occasional driving of company vehicles; maintain DOT Driver Qualification file; undergo DOT drug screening when required.
• Travel may be required; perform other duties as assigned.

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to repair and maintain the tractor and trailer equipment at our Reyes Coca Cola Bottling shop in Redding, CA. The ideal candidate must be able to work 1 Sunday a month at our shop in Eureka. On those weeks you will have Friday off.

Shift:

Full-Time l 7:00AM-3:30PM Monday-Friday

Pay

$37.00 - $39.00/Hr, depending upon experience/qualifications

Position Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review
• Some travel may be required

Required Education And Experience

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3 plus years of related experience
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
