Job summary

Thompson Machinery is seeking a General Mechanic/Service Shop Technician to set up, repair, service, diagnose, and install parts on CAT diesel powered construction equipment in our Tupelo service shops. You will work largely independently, delivering safe, timely, and high-quality repairs for customers.

Qualifications include diesel engine/equipment experience, hands-on diagnostics, and a HS diploma with technical training.

Qualifications

• Diesel engine and equipment experience required or preferred.
• Hands-on diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel powered equipment.
• Professionalism, integrity and customer service focus required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical manuals, policies, and procedures.
• Work with schematics and wiring diagrams; use test equipment.
• Perform high quality repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics for customers.
