Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a fleet maintenance technician in Auburn Hills, MI to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The role includes road call support, documentation of work orders, and ensuring compliance with trucking regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel fleet equipment including A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet tractors, trailers and reefer units.
• Ensure roadworthiness through licensing and registration checks.
• Document all work orders and maintenance in the EAM system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and other critical parts and perform needed repairs.
• Carry out routine maintenance such as oil changes and battery checks.
• Perform road call service as needed.
