Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The role ensures regulatory compliance and accurate work-order documentation, with on-road call responsibilities as needed.

Applicants should have 2+ years of repair experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and familiarity with diesel equipment, brakes, electrical systems, and A/C refrigeration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of repair experience preferred.
• Experience repairing medium to heavy-duty fleet equipment; PMs, brakes, electricals and A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
• Identify root causes and perform repairs; document work orders in the EAM system.
• Ensure licensing and registration are current to keep equipment roadworthy.
• Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and related components.
• Change oil, check batteries, and lubricate machinery with hand and power tools.
• Carry out road call services as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
