Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers in Massachusetts. You will ensure regulatory compliance, document work orders, and support road calls as needed.

Responsibilities include inspecting brakes, wiring, and onboard computers, with a 4-day work week schedule. A High School diploma and 2+ years in repair are required, with benefits starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Experience with PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting and A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty fleet equipment and identify root causes for basic failures.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to roadworthiness.
• Document work orders and maintenance in the system daily.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other parts for proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance using hand and power tools; respond to road call services as needed.
