Job summary

Performance Food Group (New) seeks a fleet maintenance technician in Massachusetts to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units under minimal supervision. You will document work orders, verify licensing, and participate in road call services as needed.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of repair experience, knowledge of electrical, air systems, and onboard computer diagnostics, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience required.
• Preferred: Associates degree or technical diploma.
• Preferred certifications in tire, brakes, EPA, DOT inspections, engines, or ASE Heavy Duty.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
• Identify root causes of basic failures and perform repairs as required.
• Ensure roadworthy status with valid licensing and registrations.
• Document all work orders and parts used accurately in the EMS.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Conduct routine PMs and assist with road calls as needed.
