Job summary

Silvi Materials is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for the 3rd shift in Millstone, NJ. You will maintain a fleet of mixers, heavy equipment, and trailers, and work with diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.

A signing bonus is offered, along with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits. You will diagnose, repair and service heavy-duty vehicles, perform preventative maintenance, and handle road service calls when required.

Qualifications

• Fleet/transportation repair experience of at least 3 years.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work independently and read maintenance manuals.
• Experience with heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and safety regulations (OSHA/DOT).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform preventative maintenance for heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Repair, rebuild or replace assemblies and sub-assemblies on trucks and equipment.
• Perform electrical work, sensor calibration and computerized systems repair.
• Weld broken assemblies as required and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Respond to road service calls using a company vehicle and prepare time and parts records.
