Silvi Materials seeks a Diesel Mechanic to service our fleet of mixers, heavy equipment, and trailers in South Plainfield, NJ. The role offers 2nd or 3rd shift with shift differential and strong benefits. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel systems, engines, and electrical components while adhering to safety standards.

We value ownership, reliability, and the ability to work independently. A CDL-A and relevant certifications enhance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet/transportation repair and maintenance (preferably 3+ years).
• Ability to read maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, DOT).
• Able to work independently and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and professional working environment.
• Diagnose and perform preventative maintenance for heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Repair and replace diesel engines, transmissions, axles, and other sub-assemblies.
• Perform electrical work including wiring systems and sensor troubleshooting.
• Respond to road service calls with a company service vehicle.
