Job summary

GFL in Chester, VA is hiring for a heavy-duty diesel truck technician. Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on company-owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment to ensure safe operation.

Starting pay is $30-$40 per hour with overtime after 40 hours. Shift is 4am-2pm, Monday–Friday. Benefits include PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and 401(k) after 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $30-$40/hr More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level

Shift: 4am-2pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked
